Secret Mall Love - Chapter 1

 

Chapter 1: Introduction 


Have you ever felt like you run into the love of your life multiple times... in the most mundane way possible? Well I feel like mine keeps finding me at the mall. I go to the mall three times a month and I see a gentleman the same amount of times. Now some of my friends think I have a stalker but I do not believe that that is the case. Why would he not follow me home then if he were a stalker? 

July 1, 2022 

I was walking into the Target to get my mall warranted Starbucks. I saw someone familiar. I decided, why not try to chat with him? So I walk towards him and I say, "Hello, you come here often?" He nods his head. He has brown hair and blue eyes and he has a tanned complexion. "My name is Jasmine, I see you here all the time." I extend my shaky hand to shake his hand. He extends his and he shakes it and I felt the slightest bit of a spark. 

"So Jasmine, how often do you come here? Seems like we run into each other a lot." I chuckle a bit and so does he. I don't want to seem like I am uncomfortable. However, I was not going to outright say, It seems like you are following me. 

"I come here once a month. Sometimes maybe even more." He smiles and it calms my nerves ever so slightly. Am I thinking of giving him a chance?

  Chapter 2: How the Obsession Begins  April 3, 2022 I saw her again. She always goes to the Target first, not for the Target run but to get her Starbucks and then walk around the mall. Shooting Star

  Has anyone ever gotten a wish granted from a shooting star? That thought entered Elaine's mind when she was sitting on her balcony on a rainy night in July. She started to draw in her notebook and started to write down her wishes and dreams. I wish there would be a time where I can just relax. She shook her head and laughed. She knew she was not the person to typically just sit down and do nothing. Is that original to any other thought that others have? Like the ability to lose weight but still eat those cupcakes.  The rain had cleared and she looked up. There it was, a shooting star. WOAH!  She never thought she would see one after a storm. So she whispered her wish. To have a day of relaxation. She then went inside and closed the screen door, glass door, and her blinds. Went to her room and laid down on her bed.
